John Paul has always had a passion for fashion and design, studying Fashion at Rupert Stanley College in Belfast. His career then followed a different creative path, working successfully as a floral designer throughout the UK & Ireland before opening his own shop, John Paul Florist, in Derry ~ Londonderry.

In 2010, after undertaking further private studies in millinery design, John Paul returned to his fashion roots and launched John Paul Millinery. The John Paul Millinery Studio and Showroom are located in Derry ~ Londonderry city centre on Great James Street. The second-floor showroom and studio are open by appointment only.

Since 2010, John Paul Millinery has gone from strength to strength, creating hats and headpieces for Mothers of the Bride & Groom, best-dressed ladies attending race-days, as well as those lucky enough to be invited to investitures and garden parties.

John Paul has been fortunate to have his design and quality of work recognised with a number of prestigious award nominations and wins. 

John Paul Millinery Designs have featured on the Catwalk at many shows including: Belfast Fashion Week, Hatwalk and Fashion Fest 

John Paul Couture regularly features in the press with our designs having featured in prestigious fashion magazines including VOGUE and Tatler as well as many Bridal publications. John Paul has also appeared on tv and radio to discuss Millinery, Fashion and Business stories.

Teaching and passing on the traditional skills of Millinery is something John Paul loves doing. He has taught a number of successful classes and workshops at London Hat Week and at Hatwalk as well as to private students one to one.
